Welcome to my new blog: "Unstrung: Chronicles of a Solo Musician". I'm Peter George, and I am excited to share with you the intimate corners of my musical journey. This journey started some 40 years ago (yikes!) but I figure it's never too late to start sharing.
Music has always been a significant part of my life. It has been my companion through highs and lows, and now it's my turn to share that story with you. As a solo acoustic guitar player and singer, I've felt the indescribable joy of creating something that touches hearts, as well as the inevitable loneliness that comes with standing alone in the spotlight.
This blog is designed to share my experiences, thoughts, and reflections on my journey as a guitarist in bands and now as a solo musician. I'll delve into many topics around making and performing music and occasionally, I may trip and go totally off the rails. I guess we will wait and see. I'll share stories and insights from my many years of mucking around and hopefully you will find some of it entertaining if nothing else.
Even though I'm not a big fan of social media, I understand its power in connecting people. Therefore, I'll be cross-posting my blog posts on various platforms (mainly FB), so you can choose your favorite way to follow along. But this blog is the heart of it all. Here, I hope to create a space that's a bit more personal, a bit more detailed, and a lot more real.
I sincerely hope "Unstrung" becomes a place where we can connect over music, life, and everything in between. So, tune in, strum along, and let's embark on this journey together.
